State Updates
The State has received guidance on how to provide the expanded unemployment benefits under the CARES Act
Massachusetts has so far received only 200 of the 1,700 ventilators it requested from the federal stockpile
The State has set up a website for people to apply for jobs at temporary medical facilities
Check on your neighbors, friends, and family who have suffered or may be suffering from sexual or domestic violence, or struggling with mental health
Mayor Marty Walsh has set up a COVID-19 Health Inequities Task Force to look into racial and ethnic disparities across Boston

88 bills have been filed in the Massachusetts legislature related to COVID

Federal Updates
Unemployment: 16.8 million people have filed (11% of the work force)
The White House is taking the temperature of all reporters after a member of the Press Corps had symptoms (but later tested negative) on Tuesday
The CDC recommends essential workers who may have been exposed take their temperatures before going to work
Dr. Fauci, a member of the White House’s Coronavirus Task Force and an expert on infectious diseases, has said that projections for the U.S. death toll are lower than expected (60,000 vs. 100,000 to 200,000)
