Meg will advocate for:

Eradicating discrimination based on age, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, immigration status, income, national origin, race, refugee status, religion or sexual orientation.

EQUAL PAY & OPPORTUNITIES

  • Enforcing and strengthening equal pay protections, including better publicizing how equal pay discrimination can be reported

REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS & ACCESS

  • Ensure access to safe abortion care (including supporting the “Roe” Act)

  • Increase access to menstrual products in public schools, prisons, and homeless shelters

SEXUAL HARASSMENT & VIOLENCE

  • Increased sexual harassment training and protections for survivors of sexual harassment

  • State-wide certification process for sexual assault counselors

  • Increase education for students on proper consent and sexual assault

MATERNAL HEALTH

  • Medicare For All, to ensure that all women, especially Black women, have access to quality and affordable health care

  • Policies that incentive providing patient-centered care that focuses on the individualized needs of Black women

  • Policies that eradicate discrimination in medical education & practice

  • Holding individual hospital systems and providers accountable if they fail to provide unbiased, high-quality, evidence-based care

  • Establish a maternal mortality review committee to study racial disparities in maternal health and deaths in Massachusetts
