COVID-19 Update - March 31, 2020

 

In this update:

State Updates

  • Gov. Baker has extended the timeline for non-essential businesses to be closed through May 4th and is limiting gatherings to 10 people or less

  • Experts are predicting the surge of cases in Massachusetts will occur between April 7th - April 17th

  • Hotels, motels and online services such as AirBnBs may now only offer rooms for limited purposes, including “direct efforts related to the fight against COVID-19”

  • The federal government has approved the state’s request to open 3 field medical stations

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Shortage

  • Massachusetts has received only 17% of what we’ve requested from the Federal government
