SENIORS
No one should struggle to afford food, housing or healthcare as they age.
Meg will advocate for:
A single-payer healthcare system that ensures quality and affordable healthcare for all Massachusetts seniors, and increases the nursing home reimbursement rate to increase the quality of care
Increased funding to raise the wages to a livable wage for nursing home and direct care caregivers
A tax credit for certain expenses incurred by family caregivers, to offset the costs of caring for loved ones
Increase educational and support resources to aid family caregivers
Easier options to save for retirement, including an opt-in option via your paycheck that you control, regardless of employment
Expanded affordable housing options specifically designed for Massachusetts residents ages 60+
