HEALTH CARE
Quality, affordable health care should be a right for all, not a privilege for some.
Meg will advocate for:
High-quality single-payer healthcare (“Medicare For All”) that is more affordable and not tied to your employment (click here to learn more)
Expanded funding and access to mental health treatment and resources, including offering additional support in schools and community centers
A comprehensive plan to combat substance abuse and the opioid epidemic, including recognizing it as the public health crisis it is and ensuring access to quality treatment programs
Protections to prevent healthcare discrimination against members of the Black and Brown communities, people of color, and the LGBTQ+ communities
Removing obstacles and expanding access to abortion care (the “Roe Act”) (click here to learn more)
Comprehensive, age-appropriate and LGBTQ-inclusive sexual education in our schools
