education & child care

Access to quality and affordable education and child care is a right, not a privilege.

Meg will advocate for:

AFFORDABLE AND ACCESSIBLE CHILD CARE

  • Increased state funding to ensure all working Massachusetts families have access to high quality early education programs

  • Increasing reimbursement rates for early educators

  • A comprehensive plan to implement universal child care

FULLY-FUNDED QUALITY PUBLIC CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

  • Prioritizing funding for local school systems to ensure they have the resources necessary to provide high-quality education for our children

  • Mandating full-day kindergarten at all public schools

  • Increase funding for vocational high schools

  • Expanding after-school programs so that no child is left behind

  • Eliminating high-stakes tests

AFFORDABLE HIGHER EDUCATION

  • Providing free or affordable post-secondary education to all Massachusetts residents

  • Expanding opportunities for student loan repayment programs

SUPPORTING OUR EDUCATORS

  • Collective bargaining rights for all public school employees, including those who work at charter schools

  • Increasing pay and access to health insurance, pensions and unemployment benefits for adjunct faculty
